Every 10 years, after the federal government publishes updated census information, California must redrew the boundaries of its Congressional, State Senate, State Assembly and State Board of Equalization districts, so that the districts correctly reflect the state’s population. 

That process is currently underway and as you know, the redistricting process has tremendous and impactful implications on our region. The “lines” determined by the commission have the potential to change congressional and legislative districts, which deeply affect how we elect our representatives.

At BizFed Central Valley we believe it’s extremely important for the California Redistricting Commission to engage with business in our region as they look to form the districts that we will live and vote in for the coming decade.
